It's not a coincidence water is typically used to represent emotion, in this case, the only liquid that could fuel my emotions was alcohol. The irony is perhaps it was only the poison feeding these so called emotional breakdowns as if waves of foam and malt were to reclaim the foothold I held so dearly, the minuscule beach in which hopes/dreams and a general forward motion begin. Each bottle takes a million years to break down, I take only three. My perch is eventually overrun with glass, ash and fibrous filters. A quick humorless goodbye, I dive into the flat tide. Bloated and floating, tomorrow is a would you rather? each option as unbearable as the independent loneliness in self dependence and reliance. These tears are burning, acidic and savoury, though without them would this page be coloured and dimensional? or is it all as transparent as the vodka and gin I try so desperately to avoid.
